Frequently Asked Questions

Does the first week song need to be 1:30 or under?
We put that time limit to give a framework for the song. If your song is within 2 minutes you will be fine.

Are there any other time restrictions on the other weeks?
Not for Idol Jr.

I know that we will bring our own CD for accompaniment, will contestants also have a microphone?
Yes

Will the first week be recorded and posted for on-line voting?
No...voting begins during the second week.

Will week two also be posted for additional on-line voting?
Yes.  Week two is when voting begins.

Will all weeks also be judged by a panel or is it strictly on-line voting to determine winners?
The 3 judges are the primary source for scoring. Online only contributes for the final performance.

How much weight will the on-line voting have vs. the panel of judges?
Think of the online judging as an extra judge for the final performance.
Also, this is a cumulative judging event, so every performance counts from first to last.
