Pumpkin Decorating Contest

The Pumpkin Decorating Contest, sponsored by Ackerman Family Farms, is a favorite for local children and families. All Morton children and those that attend District 709 schools can pick up a FREE pumpkin at Ackerman Family Farms and then decorate it to the theme.  Pumpkins can be picked up Thursday, September 9 – Sunday, September 12 (Thursday – Saturday 9:00 am – 6:00 pm and Sunday 12:00 to 5:00 pm.) The creatively decorated pumpkins are on display at Ackerman Family Farms for all guests to enjoy!

Participants can use one or more pumpkins to decorate. Both individual child and family categories are available for the competition.

Age groups:  4-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, Family/Adult

Registration for this event is now closed.

If you wish to keep your ribbon, pick it up Wednesday, September 11.  If you want your pumpkin, pick it up before 9:00 pm, Saturday, September 14.  Any pumpkins left after that date and time will be disposed of.

2021 Information

Location:  Ackerman Family Farms, 27158 US Hwy 150, Morton
Ages 4 – 6, Ages 7 – 8,  & Ages 9 – 10, Ages 11 – 12 & Family/Adult

Drop-Off Times:

Tuesday, September 14 between 4:30 – 6pm at Ackerman Family Farms

Decorated pumpkins will be available for pickup from 4:00 – 6:00 PM on Saturday, September 18. Pumpkins after that time will be disposed.
