Pumpkin Decorating Contest

The Pumpkin Decorating Contest, sponsored by Ackerman Farms, is a favorite for local children and families. All Morton children and those that attend District 709 schools can pick up a FREE pumpkin at Ackerman Farms and then decorate it to the theme.  Pumpkins can be picked up Thursday September 10 – Sunday September 13 (Thursday – Saturday 9:00 am – 6:00 pm and Sunday 12:00 to 5:00 pm.) The creatively decorated pumpkins are on display at Ackerman Farms for all guests to enjoy!

Participants can use one or more pumpkins to decorate. Both individual child and family categories are available for the competition.

Registration for this event is now closed.

If you wish to keep your ribbon, pick it up Wednesday, September 11.  If you want your pumpkin, pick it up before 9:00 pm, Saturday, September 14.  Any pumpkins left after that date and time will be disposed of.

Online registration has closed. Onsite registration is available.

New for 2020: Vote for your favorite pumpkin in this year’s People’s Choice! Ballots are $5 and donations will be given to the Morton Community Foundation.

Bring your decorated pumpkins to Ackerman Family Farms 
Drop-Off Times:
Decorated pumpkins can be dropped off from 3:00 – 6:00 PM on these days: 
Monday, September 14
Tuesday, September 15

Prizes will be available for pickup at the Morton Chamber of Commerce Office (415 W. Jefferson Street)
Wednesday – Friday, September 16 -19 from 4:00 – 6:00 PM.

Decorated pumpkins will be available for pickup from 4:00 – 6:00 PM on Saturday, September 19. Pumpkins after that time will be disposed.
